RAF Snaith Museum

Museo | Goole | Inglaterra | Reino Unido

We were lucky to be able to visit out of season when we went to the Memorial gardens for my grandads 100th birthday. Even though a lot of the exhibits had been put into storage whilst more work is carried out on the museum, there was still lots to see and the volunteers were amazingly knowledgeable and made us a cup of tea. I will certainly be coming back to see how it develops.

A lovely little museum dedicated to the RAF. It might be small but it's got a very big heart. If you like history about the second world war, flying or the RAF you will enjoy your visit.

Discovered this museum whilst walking the Heritage walk from Snaith to Pollington Lock. It's relatively new, with it only being open about a year. Several displays on offer celebrating all the WWII era forces. Volunteers were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, engaging with visitors as they go around. The story of the Jane Halifax bomber is very interesting.
